88 Degrees
Our mission is to be one of the most locally sustainable cafes in the Bay Area by sourcing
our ingredients from local farmers, supplementing produce in our homemade fresh plates with
herbs grown on our one-of-a-kind rooftop garden, while giving back to the community through
urban farming education which is taught off site at local farmer’s markets throughout the city.
Our cafe is on the cutting edge of green planning with all our meals planned for the
season and growing times of the ingredients. This lowers the cost and waste for both us and our
family-like customers. We will always pass our savings down to our customers because we
believe everyone should have easy and affordable access to healthy and nourishing meals
prepared with skill and love.

Excelsior Residential Project
Contextualization of knowledge, praxis and technique, and critical thinking were
the learning outcomes I was enriched with after completing this project. I was
able to implement the mixed concepts of English and Chinese learning
environment into a residential childcare design.
Designing a residential childcare in a compact place has taught me to utilize the
space efficiently and helped me improve on designing it both functionally and
aesthetically, especially for the outdoor play area. The re-iteration allowed me to
construct a better overall layout with various elements, materials and furniture.
The highlight of this project is the planning out outdoor area in which I was able
to visualize and connect with nature emotionally through my own design.

Sun Valley Elementary School Office
(Velvet Interiors)
Sun Valley Elementary school is that is located in San Rafael. My team, Velvel Interiors, were tasked to re-design the school's office to make it spacious as well as allowing staff at the back of the office to greet guests coming into the office. The initial office space had a wall that was located directly in the middle of the office which cut the office in half which wasted a lot of valuable space. Thus, we decided if we knocked down the wall it would open up the space and enabling guests to be visually greeted by the staff at the back of the office.
